River Report October 15, 2009

Flow: Still somewhat low.
Hatches: None apparent.
I was visiting family on the Left Coast this past week, and I understand that they stocked the river in my absence. The closest I got to fishing was to watch some guys on the Tolt River, near Carnation, WA. I didn't see anyone actually catch anything though.
Before I left, (and before the stocking) the fishing here had actually picked up a bit. I had a little luck using nymphs. Ben K. reported that he had gone out one day with his heart set on catching a bunch of smallmouths, but all he got was trout. Bummer, Ben.
I heard that the fishing has been a bit slow recently, perhaps due to the new fish taking some time to get acclimated. They should be there, though, so I plan to get out in the next day or so.
